What methods do you use to source candidates?
We use a variety of methods to source candidates and we believe in tailoring our approach to suit the role.

Some of the search and attraction techniques we use include:

• Database search
• Advertising on our website
• Online advertising across multiple sites including Seek, MyCareer and CareerOne or industry specific sites.
• Press advertising
• Pinpoint recruitment
• Referrals – this is particularly effective for specialised roles.

What are the fees I will have to pay?

Depends if the role is temporary/contract or permanent. Our temporary/contract rates are negotiated on a case by case basis and we are able to provide lower rates for volume recruitment. For permanent placements our fees are based on a percentage of the salary package offered to the successful candidate, however we are also able to offer fixed dollar packages.

Is there a guarantee period for the people I employ?

With permanent placements we offer a 90 calendar day replacement guarantee.

How are you different to all the other agencies?

Optimum has been operating since January 2003 and we are proud of the high quality tailored, personalised service we have provided and continue to provide to our candidates and clients. We have an exceptionally stable team of experienced Consultants who have fantastic networks and who operate in an ethical manner at all times. As we don’t pay commissions, our Consultants work as a team rather than compete for fees and this gives us an enormous competitive advantage.

From candidates:

Do I have to pay for you to find me work?

No, it costs you nothing. All fees for our services are paid by the hiring company.

Will you send my details across to any role that you think is suitable for me?

When we identify you as a potentially suitable candidate for a particular role, your Consultant will call you to discuss. If you are interested and would like to be represented we will contact our client and highlight your suitability for the role. We only forward your resume/application to our client if you have given us your permission to do so. We will never send your resume to a client without you knowing about it.
